Biography
I am a Registered General Nurse and have been nursing since 1983.I have held a variety of posts gaining knowledge skills and experience in a variety of fields.
Prior to commencement of employment at Rochdale Community Drugs Team in June 04 I was a District Nurse where I developed a keen interest and received training in wound/leg ulcer management.
As local guidelines in Rochdale stipulated I have received Level II module qualification in Leg Ulcer Management and work within local/national guidelines.
In November 2005 i received a NT Award for wound care and have received Pennine Care Nursing Excellence Award 2005.
I have presented at local mainstream wound care forums and performed oral poster presentation at Wound Care Conferences.
I will be commencing NMP course in October 2006 and hope this will aid in the development of this service upon completion allowing smoother treatment cycles.
