A packed and varied programme of plenary sessions covered key issues and over 30 parallel sessions, meetings, poster presentations and films all designed to inform practice, disseminate research, explore policy and develop skills.

The conference archive is provided as a free service to the field by Exchange Supplies, and includes audio recordings of all main hall and hall 2 presentations, powerpoints, speakers notes and photos.

Plenary keynote topics included:

  • composition of illicit drugs: manufacture, adulterants, purity;
  • developing our understanding of sharing, and how to reduce it;
  • providing needle exchange to young people;
  • insulin use by body-builders;
  • pharmacy needle exchange; and
  • crack cocaine preparation and injection.
