Dawn Griesbach, Griesbach & Associates, Crieff, Perthshire
Biography
Dawn Griesbach is an independent social policy researcher. She set up her own company, Griesbach & Associates, in 2005. Prior to that, she worked as a researcher and research manager in central government, university and NHS organisations.
Dawn's specialist expertise is in the areas of addiction and mental health. Two of her recent projects have involved drafting a set of national guidelines for needle exchange services in Scotland, and carrying out a review of the literature to identify effective educational interventions to prevent hepatitis C transmission among injecting drug users.
Dawn also had lead responsibility in Scotland for the National Needle Exchange Survey (carried out in 2005/06). The recommendations of this study informed a number of actions in the Scottish Government's Hepatitis C Action Plan, Phase 2.
Dawn has an honours degree in social anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MSc in economic and social history from the University of Edinburgh. Her aim as a researcher is to provide a high-quality and friendly research service to agencies in the public and voluntary sectors.
