National Conference on Injecting Drug Use
The National Conference on Injecting Drug Use is the world's biggest conference of it's kind.
Bringing together clinicians, researchers, injecting drug users the NCIDU has enabled the field to develop, share information and learn.
However, we have decided not to hold a National Conference on Injecting Drug Use in 2011... Pretty much everyone we speak to is saying that their training budgets have been slashed so it seems there are very few in the field with a budget for attending 2 day conferences this year, and as there are several free 1 day meetings happening including the NNEF conference in Bristol, WNEF conference in Cardiff, and other events over the summer and autumn, we've had to conclude that skipping 2011 is the only sensible thing to do.
After 8 consecutive years of NCIDU's, and with several alternative opportunities to network happening this year, we hope it won't be too much of a loss... I'm sure that it'll be back in future.
Meanwhile the archives of previous conferences including audio and powerpoint slides are all on our website - and you can access them from the links on the right, and we've started posting the full photo archive on facebook
