A little outside our normal remit of illicit drugs, there is still an immense amount of harm related to smoking which makes improving policy and practice in this area important on health grounds. In addition, our ability to attract a large number of delegates and sponsors to what is the biggest smoking cessation conference in the world, enables us to run a 'conferencing department' that is busy all year and so avoid the expense and peaks and troughs associated with running two conferences per year.
