Help
There are over 3,000 pages of information on exchangesupplies.org, and this page is designed to help you navigate your way around them, troubleshoot common problems, and to get in touch with us if you need more information.
The easiest way to find something is usually to use the google search utility to the right. If that doesn't work first time, click on the search link under related pages for search tips.
There is information on privacy, cookies, Adobe Acrobat PDF's, problems viewing updated pages, fonts and text size below.

Privacy
This website does not use 'cookies'. This means we do not leave hidden files on your machine so that we can keep track of you.
We keep a database of people who send e-mails to us, but we do not pass these details to other people.
We do run a mailing list which you can register for by clicking here. We only use this to send major site updates, and we do not pass on any of the e-mail addresses.

Adobe Reader PDFs
Many of our downloads are in 'PDF' or 'Portable Document Format' and denoted by the icon above. This is a document format developed by Adobe Systems allowing documents to be sent electronically e.g. over the Internet or as email attachments. The Adobe Reader software, required to view and print these documents using your computer, is free.
To download Adobe Reader from the Adobe website, click here.

Refresh and reload
Occasionally we get e-mails from people who cannot find the changes on a page we have updated. This is usually because of something called a 'disk cache'. This is where your computer makes a copy of pages you visit often so that next time you visit you do not have to reload them. Sometimes this may mean your computer does not check our site to see if the page you are visiting has been changed.
If you think this is happening, you can get round it by pressing the 'Refresh' (Internet Explorer) or 'Reload' (Netscape) button at the top of your screen. This will always give you the latest version of the page you are visiting. (If you use AOL, you may need to hold down the 'Ctrl' button on your keyboard and press the 'F5' button to refresh.)

Changing the text size
It isn’t possible to get the text size on a website right for everyone. There is a balance between making it readable and making it easier for you to find your way round the site.
If you would find it helpful to have larger text, you can change this yourself by doing the following:
With Internet Explorer:
click on 'View' at the top of the screen and then select 'Text Size'. You will then be able to choose 'Larger' or 'Largest'.
With Netscape:
click on 'View' at the top of the screen and then select 'Increase Font'.

Changing the font
If you would prefer a different style of font, such as Times New Roman (which is similar to that used in newspapers). You can change the font displayed on web pages yourself, but it is a bit fiddly to do:
With Internet Explorer do the following:
Click on 'Tools' at the top of your screen and select 'Internet Options'.
Click on the 'Accessibility' button, and then click in the box next to 'Ignore font styles specified on web pages', then click on OK.
Click on 'Fonts', and then choose a font from the left-hand list ('web page font').
Click the OK button on both boxes.
With Netscape:
Click on 'Edit' at the top of your screen, and then select 'Preferences.
Double-click on 'Fonts' in the list on the left.
Make sure the box next to 'Use my default fonts, overriding document specific fonts' is selected.
Choose a font from the menu next to 'Variable Width Fonts'.
Click on 'OK'.
