Training
As part of our commitment to the continuing professional development of the field we have established a training programme primarily aimed at developing the skills of those working with injecting drug users.

The training programme has seven courses:

• Safer injecting
• Wound care for injecting drug users
• Promoting and developing pharmacy needle exchange
• Effective and safe working with young people who inject
• Crack and speedballs
• Route transitions

The programme is intended to cover areas that will be of practical use to all participants who work with injecting drug users.

The courses are all led by acknowledged experts in their field. To maximise opportunities for learning, each course will be limited to 16 participants and they will all be held in quality city-centre venues. Another central feature of the training is that all participants are treated with respect and dignity, in an environment in which a diversity of backgrounds and experiences is valued.
