Contract of employment policy

Exchange Supplies has a duty to ensure that every person working for the company, within two months of their start date, receives a written statement of employment details that is a legal document describing their contract of employment.

The written statement of employment details is held by the Managing Director, and includes:

  • Employer's name and address;
  • Employee's name, job title, and date of start of continuous employment;
  • The type of contract (full-time, part-time, fixed-term, or permanent);
  • Normal hours of work, including start and finish times, and extent of flexibility in the hours of work;
  • Rate of pay, frequency;
  • Annual leave, including any public holidays and confirming the option to carry over unused holiday into the next year;
  • Minimum sick leave and sick pay arrangements;
  • Notice periods for both the employer and employee; and
  • Pension arrangements;
